Trib3 Lagos Branding

Celebrating Diversity, One Dish at a Time
Trib3 Lagos idea started as being a popular spot for Amala but evolved into a place that goes beyond enjoying Amala but a place for Afro-fusion cuisine.
We crafted the identity through brand strategy to be the meeting point for people of different backgrounds, communities and tribes to celebrate and dine over diverse meals.
The core element of the visual identity was built around a strong bond among people (the logo), the core root of African heritage (the colour), the luxury of the experience (the typography) and unique symbols from different tribes around the world (the pattern).
The dynamic is simply "things so different, coming together as one".
The Faceless Man
Each illustration represents the way of life of the people of key tribes around the world. Yoruba Tribe representing Nigeria where the restaurant is, Tokyo woman representing East Asia, Indian woman representing South Asia, Caribbean man and an Arab man.
They have no face, which is important in signifying that all are represented.
The 3 symbols
The pattern made up of symbols is based on Arewa, Adin Krahene and Niger-Benue river.
(Arewa): A Northern Nigerian symbol that represents “unity in diversity”
(Niger-Benue River): A key representation of connection between all parts of Nigeria.
(Adin Krahene): A Ghanian symbol the means “oneness” and “interconnectedness”
The customer experience
As a restaurant, the overall experience is important and we made sure not just the menus speak the brand, but the staff should wear the brand.
Embroidery is the perfect choice for a premium style with a careful mix of colour and Ankara fabric to represent home. Of course this pieces had to come out right, so we created a technical pack with all the details and sent to our factory partners for production.

The website
The flow had to fit in the operations of the business while still looking premium and appetizing. The landing page embodied video of the space and was more colourful while other pages focused on functionality. It was important to have table reservations, event ticket sales, easily editable menu display, customer management, space rental boking, review display & more.
All this was also connected to the IG page of Trib3 Lagos.

The Signage & Pylon
The physical location needed to be easily spotted by customers from across the road. The signage at the top of the entry way was deliberately chosen to be huge in order to achieve that. We also made it have light so that it is visible at night.
The Space Shoot
We took pictures and videos of the space to use on the website from planning to editing. We also helped in setting up the space before the shoot.
The Result
The founder of Trib3 Lagos expressed that our brand strategy surpassed his expectations, as he initially envisioned the restaurant solely as an amala spot. Our created brand identity provided him with a broader vision and the potential to expand the business further, generating increased revenue in the long run. Customers love Trib3 Lagos. After a successful hand-off this is how Trib3 Lagos is now. (Pictures and videos below were taken and provided by Trib3 Lagos Team)
